House and Garden accepts both House and Garden Gift Cards and eGift Cards as a payment option for any online order.

Prices shown are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Prices may not include delivery and handling charges. Prices are subject to change.

Payment
All payments must be made in full prior to delivery.
Payments must be made via the PayPal secure payment gateway facilities accessible via the website and will be subject to any terms and conditions of these providers.
Supply and Delivery
Subject to you complying with these Terms and acceptance of your Order by House and Garden, we will sell and supply the products to you as shown on your Order confirmation.
Products may not be available for immediate delivery. House and Garden will endeavour to deliver your Order to you within ten (10) days of the date you placed your Order, except if the Order is for an item of furniture.
Items of furniture are generally not held in stock and will be required to be ordered. You agree that your Order for any item of furniture may take up to ten (10) weeks to be delivered to you from the date you placed your Order. This timeframe is the average manufacturing lead time required by suppliers. House and Garden will contact you on receipt of your Order to notify you of the indicative delivery date.
Other than in respect of Orders for furniture, regional or remote areas, if House and Garden gives you notice that it will be unable to deliver your Order within 14 business days of receipt of your Order, due to lack of stock, you may cancel your Order without charge, and House and Garden will arrange for a full refund of any payment made by you to be processed.
Delivery times may be greater than 14 business days for regional or remote areas.
Delivery by Post or Carrier
The terms of this clause apply where you select to have your goods delivered to a specified address.
The delivery address must be an address within Australia and cannot be a freight forwarding location. Deliveries cannot be made to PO Boxes.
On acceptance of your Order by House and Garden, your Order will be dispatched to your specified delivery address generally within 10 business days of the date you placed your Order.
If you order large or bulky items, House and Garden will contact you by telephone or email to arrange with you a suitable time for delivery.
You will be required to be available in person to accept delivery of your Order, unless you have given authority during checkout to leave the package unattended.
If you wish to change the delivery date or delivery address you must contact customer service on 08 8363 5033 at least 48 hours prior to the dispatch of your Order.
House and Garden will use its best endeavours to deliver your Order within any stated timeframes for dispatch, however House and Garden does not warrant that these timeframes will always be met, as many factors may affect these timeframes.
You must advise at the time you place your Order via the website or later when you discuss delivery with House and Garden, of any difficulties that may be involved in the delivery (such as stairs or narrow entries). If you do not state the situation correctly and on arrival the delivery contractor deems it to be a difficult location you will be liable for any extra charges including redelivery fees and the cost of an extra person to assist.
House and Garden cannot and will not accept responsibility for delivery failures or delays by our third party delivery contractor.

The quickest and easiest way to return a product, whether purchased online or instore is to go to any House and Garden store.
If you are unable to get to one of our stores, you can simply return the item purchased online via post to:

Please include your completed Return Slip on the back of your Proof of Purchase with your goods. An Online Customer Relations Assistant will call you to process your return once the goods have been received. House and Garden will not reimburse postage costs for returned items unless the item is faulty.
Change of mind
If you have changed your mind about your purchase, House and Garden will be pleased to offer you an exchange or credit within 30 days of the date you received the item, provided that:
- You contact House and Garden to begin the return process within 30 days of the date you received the item; and
- You have produced satisfactory Proof of Purchase; and
- The item is in a saleable condition (i.e. the original tags and labels are still attached, the item is in its original packaging (if any), and the item is unworn, unused and as sold); and
- The item is not a Special Exception (see below).
In the event of a change of mind return, you will be responsible for all shipping costs. House and Garden will not reimburse postage costs for returned items unless the item is faulty.
If you are unable to provide satisfactory Proof of Purchase, House and Garden may, in its absolute discretion, provide you with an exchange to the current value of the item, provided that:
- The item is in a saleable condition (i.e. the original tags and labels are still attached, the item is in its original packaging (if any), and the item is unworn, unused and as sold); and
- We can verify that the item was originally purchased from House and Garden; and
- The item is not a Special Exception (see below); and
- Satisfactory Identification is presented at the time of the return. House and Garden will accept any of the following:
- A current Drivers License, including Learners Permit with photograph
- Proof of Age card that is approved by the Government with photograph and signature within the seal
- Blind Citizens Card with photograph
- Australian or International Passport
- Police, Government or Armed Services sealed identification card with photograph and signature within the seal
- Pension cards for aged, invalid widows, supporting parents and carers
In circumstances where you are unable to exchange an item, House and Garden may in its absolute discretion provide you with store credit to the current value of the item.
Consumer guarantees
As a consumer, you are entitled to the benefit of statutory consumer guarantees in respect of items purchased from House and Garden. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, if the item has a major failure, you may reject the item and seek a refund or exchange, or you may keep the item and seek compensation for any drop in the value of the product.
Gift Cards/ Bonus items/Bundled items
All Gift Cards or bonus items attached to the purchased products, or all elements of any bundled items, must also be returned with the original purchase. If not, the value of any such unreturned Gift Card, bonus or bundled item or utilised portion of any Gift Card will be deducted from any refund.
Special Exception
Please choose carefully as we do not offer exchange or refund on the following items unless the item is faulty, significantly different from what was shown to you, not doing what it is supposed to do, in breach of manufacturer’s warranties or consumer guarantees; or where otherwise required by law.

For standard deliveries, we will endeavour to despatch merchandise and Gift Cards within two business days from your order date.
Free shipping is available on select items as indicated on the individual products. Please note that free shipping is currently only available to Australian metro postcodes as scheduled by our third party freight carrier’s designated boundaries. Please check your postcode prior to ordering to estimate shipping costs that will be incurred.
When you reach the checkout, you will be given an estimated delivery date based on the delivery postcode you provide.
The recipient, or anyone authorised to accept the goods on their behalf, must be present when the order is delivered unless you have selected Authority To Leave and provided instructions where we can leave your purchase in a secure location at your property or with a neighbour. If you have not selected Authority To Leave and there is no one at the address to receive the order, a calling card will be left for you to collect the order from the courier depot.
Risk and title of the goods passes to the recipient when the goods leave our warehouse or store. Therefore, we strongly recommend you take out the optional insurance during checkout. We check all items thoroughly before they leave our warehouse or store, and we do not take any responsibility for damage, loss or other event which may occur after the item leaves our warehouse or store. To insure against such loss or damage during transport, you need to tick the insurance box at checkout.
